When we are planning to decorate or re-decorate
every part of our home, it is important first to identify what style we are
going to use that would make it to a new look. But most important,
especially in decorating windows, is to determine its exact size, whether
curtains or blinds you are going to place. When you measure a window for roller blinds, there are two ways for window blinds measuring guide: inside and outside
mounting.
Inside
mounting is measuring the width and the height of the window inside its frame. Measure
the top, middle and bottom width, same as left, middle and right drop for the
height and record the smallest size. Make sure that there are no obstructions
in inner window frame for smooth blinds operation. When you use this for blinds
and once you install it, there still a rift on both side of the window because
of its mechanism which is included to the exact measurement of the window.
For
outside mounting, get your inside mounting measurement and just add 2” for both
sides of width and height and now you can have an outside mounting measurement.
It can hide your window shape irregularity, making your window fully covered.
Some
of our clients in Mandaluyong City chose inside mounting for a neater window
appearance and also because their window frame depth is enough for the blind to
fit completely. On the other hand, other clients in Taguig City preferred
outside mounting due to their windows are out of good shape and their window
frame depths are too shallow for blind’s mechanism.
