WFH Like a Pro: Roll-up Blinds for the Ultimate Home Setup - Makati installation

One of the major shifts brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic is the option to carry work and school tasks into the comforts of our own home. When the health crisis prevented everyone from going out, options were assessed and alternatives were presented to ensure that economies and education were sustained. Even after these events, the work from home or WFH setup was greatly considered as it offered flexibility and unexpected benefits. Job seekers nowadays would prefer a remote or hybrid setup which allows them more time for work and less time for commuting and going out.

As this is the case, it has been a new practice also to transform bedrooms or other parts of our homes into conducive work spaces. One would think that a table and a chair would simply address but as the saying goes, modern problems require modern solutions. More to a table and a chair, employees also consider the lighting, privacy, and pleasantness of the area that they will be using as an alternative office space.

Fortunately, we’ve got just the right window treatment for that! For this article, we’ll venture on roll-up blinds for the work from home setup of our Makati client.

Roll-up blinds are one of the most common blinds one can encounter because of its simple yet functional design. These blinds consist of only a single fabric, which could vary in size, texture, color, and width, attached to a top casing with a chain or stick mechanism. The fabric of these blinds could go from sheer to a blackout one, depending on a client’s needs or preferences. For our Makati installation, the roller blinds are installed for different window measurements, ranging from narrow to regular, and to wider window sizes. This just goes to show that roll-up blinds could cater to a wide range of dimensions and could be a good fit even if the windows are smaller than usual or have a floor-to-ceiling length.

Our Makati client, being a WFH employee, opted for the blackout roll-up blinds. These blinds have thicker fabric which ensures full coverage from outside light and distractions. The good thing about this purchase is that this will prove useful in day shifts or graveyard shifts. If our client is working during the day, the simple mechanism of the roller blinds would allow more natural light into the room, reducing risk of eye strain and other vision problems. When sunlight gets overwhelming, they could simply pull down the sheet for privacy and protection. The same setup would apply during  a late night shift. Either way, privacy is assured, especially during team calls or huddles where confidential or company information are discussed. Less distraction from outside views and onlookers is also a benefit with this installation.

Additionally, thicker roller blinds are also beneficial to creating a proper sleeping environment which is important after hours of work and meetings. Complete darkness is essential to ensuring a maximized rest and relaxation and blackout blinds are the answer to this challenge. Both work productivity and proper rest are assured in this setup. Win-win!
